After playing bass, piano and oboe in his early years, Craig later became involved with the sound and light crew at West Aurora H.S. Auditorium and this grabbed his interest. He began providing sound and lighting services to local bands like Swift Kick, Buzzbomb, Shiva and Tyrant.
Craig and Gary Belniak met in 1978 while working with Tyrant and started producing demo tapes for bands like the Grinnin’ Whippets and Tyrant. With a photography and Multi Media Production background for college, and his knowledge as an electricial engineer, Craig was ready to move to the next level.
After a stint with Horace Monster and Big Twist & The Mellow Fellows, Craig became partner with Brian Haveman’s Eclispse Stage Lighting and was able to work with greats like Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, the Ramones, Psychedelic Furs, Albert King, Albert Collins, Survivor and more. Brian and Craig assembled and wired a touring rig for Foghat and later retrofitted it for a Billy Squire tour.
Craig still gets out and does some live sound and lighting for select live shows and for Lukara. He also works with Gary at Redfish Recording (Studio A), and has become proficient at DAW recording techniques and editing.
